While living in Birmingham, I started multitracking by bouncing tracks from left to right, while recording a new layer. That’s how I put this song cycle together. The Ted in question was a musician who talked a lot on the way to and from gigs. So I surreptitiously recorded his soliloquies and turned them into songs.
